Ja viem. Viem, že filmová prehliadka toho najlepšieho v Cannes ešte neskončila a veľmi veľa si toho z červeného koberca ešte dlhujem, keďže som ani nezačala poriadne rozkukávať obrázky. Ale tento “mohutne” divoký zážitok, ktorý mám za sebou – no to sa skrátka nedá oň nepodeliť. Nerada používam superlatívy a infinitíva, pretože ako každý sarkastický rojko si myslím, že to najlepšie ešte len príde, ale v tomto prípade sa tomu asi nevyhnem.
Sprievodné verejné orgie k tomuto filmu vo mne vzbudzovali skeptické očakávania. Nie som fanúšik sci-fi futuristických žánrov, pokiaľ nie sú nejakým spôsobom špeciálne sofistikované (moje interné definície kvality sa samozrejme zo dňa na deň menia, takže občas si ma získa aj úplná kravina). Ocitám sa však v štádiu, kedy si tento druh filmov pozerám s radosťou. Predchádzajúce časti Mad Maxa som v živote nevidela, ani som netušila, že existuje rovnomenná počítačová hra a vôbec, Max bol pre mňa tajomný neznámy. Až donedávna.

Do Maxa sa nezamilujete. Neodpadnete z neho ani vás ničím nedojme. Nemá ani charizmu a nie je ani tajomne šarmantný. Nie je ani dobrý, ani zlý chlapec, v podstate je celkom nečitateľný a mnohé sa o ňom budete musieť dovtípiť (ak sa s ním zoznamujete prvýkrát). Je špinavý, neohrabaný a pôsobí tak trochu mentálne zaostalým dojmom. Ale niečo vás k nemu podvedome priťahuje a máte potrebu spoznať ho viac. Scenár chudobný na dialógy (čo je pochopiteľné vzhľadom na žáner) však neponúka žiadne indície.
Zato taká Furiosa, to je pani, ak nie rovno fucking legend celého filmu. Zapamätateľná od prvého okamžiku, uveriteľne silná, dominantná, cieľavedomá a odvážna. Ani predlaktie jej nechýba ku kráse, získa si vás od prvého obrazu. Jej úmysly sú známe od začiatku a jej pevná vôľa ich dosiahnuť je obdivuhodná. Charlize Theron je dychberúca a presvedčivá a bola by aj keby si tú hlavu neoholila.

Celý film je jedna šialená, divoká, bujará, ukričaná a hystericky zábavná jazda púšťou s partiou strelených holohlavých pomalovaných šialencov. Ich vodca je zapľuzgierený odporný mastodont so záľubou v plodení detí s “čistými” modelkami. Akonáhle sa krásne modelečky ocitnú spolu s cisternou pitnej vody, pár kanistrami benzínu a niekoľkými litrami materského mlieka v rukách Furiosy, šialená naháňačka sa začína. Ešteže neobľubujem 3D filmy, inak by som musela piesok vypľúvať z úst.
Tento film nie je pre dievčatá (teraz ma zlynčujú všetky feministiky za šírenie rodových stereotypov, ale nech si poslúžia). Dialógy sú prevelice chudobné a veľa sa z nich nedozviete ani o hlavných hrdinoch, ani o postapokalyptickom svete. Kľúčovým nábojom je akcia, rozprávačom príbehu je obraz. Akčné scény sú nesmierne dynamické a zbesilé, v pokojných momentoch film začína mierne pokulhávať. Nedozviete sa, prečo svet vyzerá ako vyzerá, kam zmizla všetka voda, či sú tí bieli pomalovaní muži s krvnými transfúzkami naozaj polomŕtvi, prečo je pôda kyslá, kto je vlastne ten Max a prečo je šialený. Ale myslím, že to nevadí.
Dojem, ktorý vo mne film zanechal je pre mňa kľúčový. Pretože je to práve ten dojem, na základe ktorého mám chuť pozrieť si aj ostatné diely spred 30 rokov s Melom Gibsonom. A aj vďaka tomuto dojmu som objavila nový instant crush, o ktorý sa s vami onedlho podelím

I know. I know that the parade of the best movies in Cannes is not finished yet and I owe myself really a lot from the red carpet moments, since I have not started with pictures preview yet. But this incredibly wild experience I have achieved – I just cannot let go without sharing. I don´t like using superlatives and infinitives, because as every sarcastic dreamer I think that the best is yet to come. But in this case, I´m affraid I have no other option.
Accompanying public orgies for this movie caused me skeptical expectations. I´m not a fan of sci-fi futuristic genres, if they are not specialy sophisticated in some way (my internal definitions of quality vary from time to time, so it means that sometimes I´m flattered by absolute disaster). But right now I´m in the mood of liking these kind of movies and I´m kind of watching them with pleasure. I haven´t seen previous series of Mad Max, I never knew, that there is a computer game like that and overall, Max was mysterious stranger for me. Until recently.
You won`t fall in love with Max. You won`t fall off because of him and you won`t be moved by his appearance. He has no charisma and he is not even mysteriously charming. He is no good boy, no bad boy, actually he is quite unreadable personality and you will have to figure out by yourself many things about his background (if it`s your first date). He is dirty, clumsy and gives you a bit mentally retarded impression. But subconsciously something will attract you to him and you will be willing to get to know him better. Script, very poor when it comes dialogues (which is understandable according to the genre), is not give you any clues regarding him.
When it comes to Furiosa, she is “the fucking legend” of the whole movie. Remarkable from the first moment, strong, dominant, confident and very brave. Missing forearm has no impact her beauty, she will catch your eye from the first frame. Her intentions are clear from the beginning and her strong will to achieve them is admirable. Charlize Theron is breathtaking and convincing and she would be like that even if she didn`t shave her head for the role.
The whole movie is one crazy, wild, hilarious and hysterically funny ride through the desert with the group of insane bold white-painted freaks. Their leader is disgusting blistering mastodon with pleasure in fathering children with “clean” models. As soon as beautiful models are found together with a tanker of drinking water, few cans of gas and several liters of milk in Furiosa hands, crazy chase begins. Thanks to God I`m not fan of 3D movies, because in that case I would be spitting up the sand from my mouth the whole movie.
This movie is not for girls (now I will be lynched by some feminists for supporting gender stereotypes, but I don`t care). Dialogs are very poor and they won`t tell you anything about the main characters, not even about the post-apocalyptic world. It is the action, that makes the movie as good as it is, scene is the storyteller. Action scenes are incredibly dynamic and crazy, when the calmer moment comes, movie is starting to be boring. Nobody will tell you, why the world looks like it looks, where did all the water dissappear, whether are these white-painted men with blood drips half-dead, who the hell is Max and why is he mad. But I think it doesn`t really matter.
The impression, that movie left in me, is the key. Because it is the impression according to which I have feeling I want to see also the older parts of Mad Max with Mel Gibson. And also thanks to this impression I have found out new instant crush, which I will soon share with you
